I have always thought I was brushing my teeth the best way possible. But with this tooth brush it shows you where, how long and if you missed something. Besides the added features and a better toothbrush, it now takes less time to compete the job.
This toothbrush is excellent. I have been using the Phillip’s set from Costco for years and wanted to upgrade. My dentist gave me a coupon, I had a store coupon as well so it was a great deal as far as price. The performance is excellent, my teeth never felt so clean. The app is a novelty but with some work could be a very good tool. I would let everyone know that you don’t have to use the cup for charging the brush, it comes with a smaller in height holder that the toothbrush stands on, saves a little space on the counter. A wonderful product, I will definitely buy another when the time comes.
The brush and it's heads are great, I am not pleased with the app and its functions. It is hard to use, it gives you a count of remaining uses left, which is totally in accurate , I really see no value in the software design of the app, otherwise it's a good product and I would recommend it. Also I don't understand why it takes three months to get the rebate that you offer if you offer a rebate you should send it relatively soon, three months,? Not really please with that., Also the amount of hoops you have to jump through to fill out the survey is ridiculous forcing to make a nickname, ridiculous
I have used this brush for about 2 months and love it. As a dental professional, I thought all sonic toothbrushes were the same. They aren't. The Diamond Clean has made my teeth feel cleaner and look whiter than any other type of toothbrush I have ever used!
I've used Sonicare for years and decided to upgrade. Glad I did. I love the auto recognition of the brush head and the app. Makes brushing effectively easy and you get cues to move through the brush cycle. The different modes are great and the fact that the brush automatically adjusts for the brush head is icing on the cake. Glad I spent the extra money and got the added features.
This toothbrush is excellent to trust if you are doing a good job, you cannot cheat on it!, knows what you do and when you do with your teeth, it’s perfect for adults who want to go beyond a good cleaning.
I was given a free sample of the Philips DiamondClean Smart toothbrush to review, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this product. When I first took the product out of the box I thought to myself, `really? An App? Who needs an app to tell them how to brush their teeth?` But once I got connected and began using it, I found that it was really impressive. I learned things about my brushing habits, like that I often push down too hard, that I might otherwise never have known. The toothbrush also has a lot of great functions that I found helpful. Here are just a few:
-Philips Sonicare App: The app is very user-friendly and walks you through how to choose the right brush head for your needs and how to get started. I have been dealing with a receding gum line, so I the app directed me to choose the Gum Care brush head. When I was prompted to start brushing, I was shocked that the app was able to tell me what spots I was missing and prompted me to go back and more thoroughly clean the spots before I shut off my brush.
-Three different brush options and brushing modes: I thought that it was cool that this product came with three different brush options, and a tongue-care cleaner, that all coordinate with a different mode for the brush and app. The Plaque control brush (labeled C3) is used with the clean mode. I feel that this one is similar to your generic brush, and is probably close to what most electronic brushes offer. The Gum Care brush (labeled G3) goes with Gum Health mode and focuses on making your gums more healthy. The third brush/mode is White mode (W3) and it is used for stain removal. The really cool thing is that the brush itself knows which head is connected, and will automatically go into the correct mode when a brush is connected. Although I do alternate and use all three brush heads, I really like that they have a brush specifically for gum care. It is a bit softer, and it allows for a gentler cleaning of my gums. Having three different heads and brushing modes allows for users to choose the one that works best for them.
-Pressure Sensor: One of my favorite functions of this brush is the pressure sensor. This is a ring along the bottom of the brush that lights up when I push too hard. This has taught me that my receding gums are most likely because of how hard I push when I brush and has helped me to change my brushing habits accordingly. I also think this would be a really cool function for children, as it can help them to learn good brushing habits at an early age.
There were a few things that came with the brush that I personally thought were kind of unnecessary or could be improved:
- The Tongue Care brush is something I don`t always use. I feel like it is easier for me to just brush my tongue with the brush that is already connected, rather than take the time to switch to the tongue brush and then clean both of them when finished.
- The charging glass, although it looks pretty cool, seemed strange. I have had other brushes that have chargers that include a UV light for sterilization, which I have really liked. Or, at least a compartment on the charging station that is covered to keep the brushes clean.
Overall, I really like the Philips DiamondClean Smart toothbrush and I will definitely continue using this product with pleasure.
I have been using the Sonicare 9500 Diamond Clean Smart toothbrush for a little over a week and I really like it. This is a premium rechargeable battery operated toothbrush that does about everything you want a toothbrush to do! It has Smart brush head recognition which detects which brush head you’ve attached and automatically selects the recommended mode and intensity level for you. There is also a pressure sensor which alerts you by illuminating a cool purple light at the bottom of the handle if you are applying too much pressure to the brush. A brush head replacement reminder on the front of the handle will light up when it’s that time and when you connect your Sonicare Diamond Clean Smart toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare App, it will let you know on your connected device if you’re excessively moving the toothbrush. The good thing is that if you don’t want to use all these bells & whistles you can deactivate them. Everything about this toothbrush is based on your choice, you can manually change options or let the unit decide for you. Even though I have been a Sonicare Flexcare (non Bluetooth version) user for many years and have enjoyed the fresh clean feeling that it gave me, I didn’t think it could get any better. It definitely has!
The Sonicare DiamondClean comes with 4 different brush heads: Plaque Control, Gum Care, Whitening and a Tongue Care+. The plaque control brush head is the one I use the most for everyday cleaning. It is similar to the Flexcare brush, however the placement of the bristles on the Diamond Clean and the fullness of the head are more reminiscent of a manual toothbrush. The fullness of the brush head, I think, allows for a much deeper and more thorough cleaning. I also use the Tongue Care+ brush head to cleanse my tongue which I think helps towards getting that cleaner feeling. This is also the only brush head that does not come with a cover but I wish it did. Although, I have used the other two brush heads (Gum & Whitening) I have not had this toothbrush long enough to see any definitive results. This Sonicare Diamond Clean, unlike the Flexcare, has 3 intensity levels that you can manually change or the unit will pick the one that matches the brush head on the unit.
The brush heads are microchipped to communicate with the handle so the correct settings can be applied. Approximately after 3 days of use my handle would not recognize the brush head that I attached to it. It continuously stayed in one mode no matter which brush head was attached. Since I mostly relied on the handle recognizing which brush was attached, it wasn’t until this happened that I noticed two things about the brush heads: First, the very tiny letters on the front of the head that noted which head was which. Second, that the toothbrush heads have a colored border around the bristles. (green for Whitening, purple for Gum Care & blue for Plaque control) The black & white instruction booklet does not refer to these colors while describing each brush head in detail. You must rely on the colored glossy pamphlets, which you may mistakenly throw away, that are included in the box to help distinguish each brush head correctly by color. My handle must have reset itself overnight after I placed it on the charger, as it was back to normal by the next morning.
The charging glass/base and the travel case really rounds out this elegant toothbrush. The drop and go charging concept is much easier to adapt to than the Flexcare system of moving the handle around the base to the correct spot. Before I use the charging base and glass, I just wipe down the handle, cover the brush head and place it in the glass. It looks very nice sitting in the bathroom. The sleek, but slightly bulky, travel case accommodates two brush heads and the handle and includes an attached USB cord for charging. I am not a fan of the exclusive USB charging capabilities since that means I must bring, yet, another wall adapter with me when I travel since I like to keep my toothbrush charging in the bathroom and not by using the USB port on my computer as is one of the suggestions in the instruction manual.
Overall, I really like using the Sonicare Diamond Clean Smart toothbrush. It is a good upgrade over the Sonicare Flexcare that I was previously using. The Philips Sonicare App also works well with the Diamond Clean Smart toothbrush. It was easy to download and set-up on my Samsung phone. Just like the toothbrush itself, you can tailor it to your needs and only use the features that interest you. It only enhances the experience such as immediately allowing me to address the areas that I missed, but the app is not required to be able to use the toothbrush. I received this product as a free sample to use for this review.
I was really fortunate to receive a free sample of this product for an honest review, and here it is...
I am already a Philips Sonicare user, the kid and I have shared one for years (separate brushes of course) since we both have had braces. Me later in life which I now use a retainer, and him recently. We needed something that had good reviews but affordable. We settled on Sonicare and have been happy campers ever since.
When I received this product, DiamondClean, it looked really snazzy with all the features it possessed on the box. Bluetooth, Diff brushheads for different needs, USB travel case..wait Bluetooth? Yep, Bluetooth. It syncs with the Sonicare app you can download for free from your Fave app store. I`ll review that app in a bit...
The DiamondClean is a very compact and nice lookin` piece of tech! It has 5 different modes, Clean, White+, Deap Clean, Gum Health and Tongue Care and 3 intensity settings. So you can use according to what you`re trying to acheive I keep it on Deep Clean. Each one of the settings has a different vibration `feel` when using. The charging mechanism is touchless, there is a glass tumblr for mouth rinsing that doubles as the charging station for it which sits atop the actual charging gadget. nice! While you're brushing, you'll get a couple of different "alarms" if you're brushing too hard or moving the brush to fast. The vibration of the brush will change plus the brush motor has some lights underneath that light up as a warning to chill it a bit and brush lighter/slower. I like that. Plus that app tell you onscreen that you're brushing to hard etc. You REALLY can't mess up your brushing routine with this brush.
According to what I`ve read about it, (yes i like to nerd out on wordages about any product I use), the brushheads have a built in microchip that tell the body what it was meant for. So all you do is plug it in and turn it on. Killer!
The App: At first I thought, `oh another useless promo app that`s just gonna hog up my phones resources`. But I installed anyway and proceeded to use. Boy was I surprised... What this app does is not only keep track of your brushheads usage, which tells you when it`s time to replace and not guess, but it shows you a virtual mouth on your phone which after you start brushing, it shows you which quadrant (in this case six, sides and front), you`re brushing outside and inside, but it you spend a lil too much time on one side and not the other at the end of your routine it either point out which spots you need to spend more time on, or it will give you a few more seconds of brushing based on where you need it. again..KILLER! no more missed spots again!!!!
I`m still using the entire ensemble and have yet to really provide a long term usage report/review on it. The only gripes I have, which are minor are the following:
The brush `motor` is compact...I mean really compact and smooth. slipped out of my hand once or twice, some grooves for grip on it would be a good idea just for accident prevention. Also, the app, if my phones screen locks while I`m brushing and turn it on, it loses the session for that time and can`t bring it back without starting again.
From what I can gather, this is one solid piece of engineering. Very good product and will continue to use. Here`s to clean teeth!
I was fortunate enough to receive this product as a sample in order to write a review. This is not my first electric toothbrush, but I am greatly satisfied with my upgrade. The best feature to me is the pressure notification. The brush will vibrate differently and light up at the bottom if you are putting too much pressure on the brush onto your teeth. This is a great tool for me since my bristles are always bent back and worn out after a short period of time. I did use the app for a week with the brush, but did not personally find it useful. It did help me realize that I was brushing too fast and was supposed to allow more time, but overall I did not need an app to track my brushing. If you are someone who needs reminders and motivation to consistently brush your teeth, then it is a great feature! I like the new charging station that is designed as a glass cup, it adds a more aesthetic appeal to my bathroom than the traditional plastic charging stations. I really like the charging case. I usually don't bring my electric toothbrush when I travel because it is just easier to bring a regular toothbrush. With this carrying case, I am able to bring my charger, the toothbrush and replacement heads in one, it is great!
I was very impressed with the look and quality of the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean smart toothbrush. When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised to find three different brush heads as well as a tongue care brush head. it also came with a travel case that I found to be handy and convenient. The toothbrush unit knows automatically which brush head you are using and adjusts to it. I also like that there are three different settings for the type of vibration that is preferred. The charging unit for this toothbrush is unique and different than what I'm used to. It is a sturdy glass cup that you simply set the toothbrush unit into and it charges quickly. Overall I am highly satisfied with the quality of this product. After each use my teeth feel super clean and I look forward to continue use of this product. As a side note, I did receive this product in exchange for a truthful review.
I received the Philips DiamondClean toothbrush as a free sample to review. I already own an earlier Sonicare brush, so I was generally familiar with how this toothbrush would feel and function, but I have never used a toothbrush that connects to an app, so I was interested to find out if using the app would improve my brushing habits.
After using the brush for 2 weeks, I have found that my teeth are much cleaner feeling and look noticeably whiter - this toothbrush far outperforms my older Sonicare, and I thought my old brush worked well! I also found that having the brush connected to the Philips app on my phone made it much more likely for me to remember to brush both day and night (I'm really bad at remembering and combating laziness to brush both morning and night!). Here are some of the pros and cons I noticed as I used the brush: - Connecting my phone (an iPhone 6) to the brush was a bit of a chore at first, as my phone wouldn't recognize the toothbrush, but I think that was more a fault of my phone than the brush, as I've been having problems with my phone lately anyway. After I finally got it connected, I've only had a few times where my phone wouldn't recognize the brush; again though, I think this is more the fault of my phone. - overall, the Philips app is easy to use and clearly shows how well you're brushing in real time. There are a few improvements to the app I would like to see though, such as having a more personalized homepage that shows how many times you have brushed that day and week, how well our brushed on you last brushing and how you're improving, and how many more days you have left before reaching your brushing goal. I would also like it if there was an option to have my phone alert me twice a day at times I choose to remind me to brush my teeth. - I love having a goal to reach, such as whitening (the first goal I chose), fresh breath, gum health, and plaque removal. It gives me a little bit of an incentive to brush my teeth twice each day so I reach that goal sooner (yes, I have a type-A personality, can you tell?). - I did not like that I must have my phone with me as I brush, and have to open the app and select the "brush" option in order for the app to log my brushing. While having the phone with you is very helpful, so that you can see how well you are cleaning your teeth and what section of your mouth you should be brushing, I don't always have my phone handy (like when I rush upstairs to brush just before I need to leave the house and don't have time to run back downstairs to get it), and I would like the app to at least log the fact that I did brush, for the recommended amount of time. - that said, the real-time brushing screen is very helpful - it shows me if I am brushing each area of my teeth long enough and if I am using too much back and forth motion (which I often did, and didn't even know it before I used the app!). And it is very gratifying to get to the end and see the "sparkling" teeth, showing that you have brushed each area of your teeth correctly. - I like that the brush includes different brushing head to attach to use in conjunction with your different brushing goals. It means you buy a brush with three brush heads rather than just one, and a tongue scraper, which extends the time to when you need to buy more brush heads. - while my brush did not come with a charging travel case, I see that some of them do, and that is a really neat option, I would definitely buy the type that lets the travel case charge the brush (when you plug it in). - the charger that came with my brush is really neat: you simply place your brush into a sleek glass rinsing cup that sits atop a charging base, and it charges immediately. No need to place it specially or plug it in, just drop it in the cup and it charges. Very cool. In short, the DiamondClean toothbrush provides an excellent clean, and the app gives you helpful feedback on your brushing that encourages you to keep up a healthy brushing routine. I love the toothbrush, and now my husband wants one of his own as well!
I was fortunate to receive a free sample of the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart to leave an honest review for it...and it is the most incredible toothbrush I've ever used. It really isn't a toothbrush, as much is an oral care platform. I've had many prior Soinicare brushes and this takes it to the next level. The brush is designed ergonomically for comfort and is so smart, it senses the brush heads, it has 4 intelligent cleaning modes (Clean, White+, Gum health, Deep clean), and it really makes you want to brush more. The app in conjunction is an amazing advisor on how to take your oral hygiene to its maximum potential. The brush heads are also very high quality and offer a great variety. It's simply a pleasure to use. The look and aesthetics are also very elegant and futuristic. The clear charging station acts like a cup and has a gorgeous effect. It is truly the brush of the future and it makes you feel good when you use it. I feel I have the most control and knowledge of my oral care than I did in my entire life.
Excellent Toothbrush with Different types brush heads
Sonicare Diamond Clean is the best product i have ever seen in the electric tooth brush brands..After using this a week of time I was completely getting a feel of fresh breathe in my mouth. Tooth brush has different level of cleaning required which will be auto selected based on the tooth brush head we connect to the base. I completely enjoi using this Sonicare Diamond Clean tooth brush. This brush increases my confident level within me while speaking with Others. Overall I love this brush (Sonicare Diamond Clean) and it will be suited to all persons of different ages. And I should mention i was given a free sample to try this product and I will try to use in the future as well. I really enjoyed using this
I really can't say enough good things about this toothbrush. I've been using Sonicare toothbrushes for almost 20 years now, but this one is a gigantic leap forward. Being a Sonicare customer, I have very high standards for electric toothbrushes and this one delivered with flying colors.
I knew when I was informed I was to receive a sample to try that it was a high end brush, but I really wasn't prepared for just how high end it is. Seriously, this toothbrush is smarter than me! The brush heads are "smart" in that when you attach one (it comes with 4 by the way) it knows what mode of cleaning the brush corresponds to. For example, when I snap on the gum health brush head the "gum care" setting illuminates on the toothbrush. The other heads and cleaning modes include tongue cleaning, deep clean and whitening. The heads snap on and off very easily and the snap-on brush head covers stay on securely, which was something I experienced problems with when using my Sonicare Elite.
Since I have gum issues I decided to try the gum care mode first. Lately I'd been experiencing a moderate amount of blood while brushing my teeth. The first time I used the toothbrush I was pleasantly suprised that the base of the brush illuminates purple if I brush too hard as this has always been an issue for me. Brushing too hard probably contributes to my bleeding gums now that I think about it. I was absolutely shocked when the bleeding stopped after using this toothbrush 4 times (2 days)! Pretty amazing, huh? It also gets my teeth (even between my teeth) squeaky clean. After brushing it feels like I've been to the dentist...that clean. It really whitens as well. My teeth are pretty white to begin with, but I've noticed a marked difference (2-3 shades easy) in the 10 or so days I've been using the toothbrush.
In addition to the four brush heads previously mentioned, the toothbrush also comes with an unbelievable array of accessories. There's a glass cup which rests on the charging base. That is, to charge the toothbrush, you simply set it in the cup. The other great feature of this is that once the cup/charger base has a full charge, it can be unplugged and will continue charging the toothbrush. This is great for me because my bathroom only has one plug, so I can't leave something plugged in all the time. That blows me away! Secondly there's a travel case that holds the toothbrush handle and two brush heads. The genius part, there's a USB cord in the bottom of the case so you can charge anywhere you go. How brilliant is that?
As far as aesthetics go, the brush is sleek and modern. It's very easy and comfortable to hold during brushing and it's incredibly easy to clean afterwards. I just rinse the brush head well, dry with a wash rag and spray the brush itself with hydrogen peroxide to sanitize prior to snapping the brush cover back on. It goes without saying how great the cup/charger combo looks on the bathroom counter compared to my old clunky plastic charging cradle. Speaking of the battery, I've been using my toothbrush for about 10 days and it still has lots of battery left.
The brush also comes with an app you can download for ios or Android. The toothbrush and app sync up to show you how well you're brushing. It actually shows me where I'm missing spots as I brush. It's no great surprise that those are the areas my gums were the most inflamed. The only problem with the app is that I find myself forgetting to use it because the phone needs to be in close proximity for the data to sync correctly.
In conclusion, I have fallen in love with this toothbrush and can't imagine being without it! It has really turned my oral health around in less than two weeks! If you have gum issues, you really owe it to yourself to buy this brush. While it may be a little pricey, I can tell you from experience that Sonicare toothbrushes are very well made and last a very long time. You also get a 2 1/2 year warranty and a discount code for brush heads if you register your brush online.
I received a new `Sonicare Diamond Clean Smart` to use for this review and was very impressed upon opening the box. I really like the silver color. The charging cup is very convenient addition, as you can use it for rinsing as well. You receive several different brush heads and a tongue cleaning head and they are associated with the five modes of the toothbrush- clean, whitening, deep clean, gum care and tongue care. You also receive a travel case which is another great accessory to have. After using it for the last two weeks, I can definitely tell the cleaning power is superior to that of my old electric toothbrush. I think this is in part because of the app. It uses bluetooth connectivity and when you use it while you are brushing, it shows you how much time you need to spend in each area of your mouth based on what mode you have selected. If you miss areas or don`t brush them as well, they will be shown in yellow on the app. It also alerts you if you are brushing too hard or moving the brush head too much. After brushing, the app prompts you to floss, rinse, and scrape. The app lets you know how you did, and you aim for a complete clean! It`s a good feeling to hit that goal. This is the fourth Sonicare I`ve had and I think it is definitely the best one yet.
Okay, per the rules, I have to say I did get this product at no cost in return for writing this review but that does not have any effect on my opinion. Also, I have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for nearly two years now when I switched from the Oral B brush and I am a believer! The Diamond Clean is a major upgrade (both in features and in price) from the standard Sonic care brush I was using. First of all, the drinking glass charger is pure genius! It's completely unobtrusive sitting on my vanity and solves on of my biggest complaints about electric toothbrushes- the water drip. The DiamondClean HX9924 is clearly a Cadillac-loaded with features some of which are kinda cool and others maybe a little too much!
One of my favorite features this brush has my prior Sonicare did not is a blue strobe light on the bottom of the handle that will flash when you apply to much pressure. My dentist has always warned me not to get to aggressive with these types of brushes because they can be very abrasive. So this warning light now has me let me know I was using too much force and I am now getting use to a much lighter touch! Now here is something I think may be just a little over the top. I downloaded the DiamondClean app (yes that right it's got it's very own app) and the brush is Bluetooth compatible. So if you log into the app while you are brushing on your smartphone's screen it will show you where and how long to brush the different sections of teeth. It also shows if you miss a spot and gives you a comprehensive diagnostic breakdown or your brushing session. I used it a few times and than I decided it's just a little too annoying for me. I am sure others may feel the same!
Overall, I am giving this product 5 stars because it really does an amazing job cleaning my teeth!
I have used Braun electric toothbrushes for several years. This was my first time trying the Philips Diamond Clean. This complimentary product was provided to to provide feedback, and I absolutely loved it. The toothbrush has a long durable battery that did not need recharging for 10+ days. Also, the toothbrush is powerful and effective yet gentle on your gums. I like the added bells & whistles like tongue care, but the bluetooth connectivity and feedback is my favorite. The toothbrush tracks your brushing habits, and gives you suggestions about areas you may want to focus on... Two year normal warranty, is an added plus.
My Philips Sonic care toothbrush is amazing. Easy to use, the settings make it thorough and the app keeps you accountable. I love the charging system and the travel case is an amazing bonus. I reserved a perfect score because the truth will be told when I go to the dentist. If my check up is great I know I will have found a gem. Also the cost of replacement brushes will break the bank. There are off brand brushes I may have to use, but that is a pet peeve, being on a fixed limited income limits my ability to afford that extra expense. But I do love the tooth brush.
I have called multiple times regarding the app crashing. I was sent two new handles and nothing has been improved. The only way I can use the app is to delete it every time I want to brush and reinstall the app. If I do that the app and handle work fine. Phillips needs to correct the problem with their app by updating the firmware. It has been several months and very frustrating.
